Flight information

DOCUMENTS

You can go abroad only with a valid passport. Passport which validation term ends during the trip is considered to be not valid. Many countries require a validation of passport not less than 6 months starting from the end of the trip (it can be also required a validation of 12 months).  It is recommended to find that out before the trip and in case, to change a passport or to prolong its‘ validation. Migration institutions can provide more accurate information. We note that children travel documents are valid a shorter period (2-5 years), so before the trip parents (guardians) should pay attention to the validation of child‘s passport. 

A passenger must have all travel documents (passport, visas, etc.). In some countries  it is required that a passenger by arriving have a certain amount of money and/or a ticket forward or back. Air carrier does not take a responsibility for the disruptions, including the cover of the losses which arrise because of the travel documents. 
Do not forget: i) travel documents; ii) passport; iii) visa; iv) insurance; v) ticket; vi) money; vii) payment cards.

Travels between Schengen countries

Schengen countries do not carry out intern border control and check personal identity. But valid passport is still necessary while traveling between Schengen countries. Also identity cards of some countries are suitable (before the flight at your Ministry of foreign affairs please find out if identity card is suitable for travels in a certain country). Periodically between some Schengen countries border control is restored due to a national security and other reasons.

TICKETS
We will provide carriage only to the passenger named in the ticket and/or the list of passengers. During check-in flight you must provide your identity so that we can identify that you are the person named in the ticket and/or the list of passengers. If we have information that your ticket may have been acquired unlawfully, we reserve the right to request you to submit additional details or information related to the acquisition of your ticket.
Tickets purchased are not transferable. Only the person named on the ticket is permitted to travel using the ticket.
The ticket is non-refundable, i.e., the passenger may not return his ticket and request a refund.
You will not be allowed to travel if you fail to provide a valid ticket (it is recommended to have also a confirmation of reservation) for a certain flight and a valid identity document and, in the case of an electronic ticket, your data regarding the acquisition of the ticket is not available in the electronic ticketing database.
The ticket is valid only for the flight dates specified in the ticket.

FARES
Fares apply only for carriage from the departure airport to the destination airport, unless otherwise expressly stated. Fares do not include ground transport service between airports and between airports and town terminals. Your travel price will be calculated in accordance with tariffs applied for the date and route indicated in the ticket on the day your reservation is done. Change of your travel date may affect ticket price and cause additional fees charged by us.

TAXES FEES AND CHARGES
When purchasing the ticket, additional taxes, fees, and charges imposed by government or other authority, or by the operator of an airport (e.g., airport fees) shall be payable by you. At the time you purchase your ticket you will be advised of taxes, fees and charges not included in the fare, most of which will normally be shown separately on the ticket. Fees and charges imposed on carriage may, however, change. If there is an increase in a tax, fee or charge or a new tax, fee or charge is imposed after the date of ticket issuance, you will be obliged to pay the difference between the amount of the tax, fee or charge paid by you and the increased tax, fee or charge or make an additional payment of newly imposed tax, fee or charge.

REGISTRATION FOR THE FLIGHT
We ask to be at the airport not later than 2 hours before the flight in order to have enough time for all regsitration formalities. After the registration of the baggage, boarding pass is given. Then you have to go through the border control where there are procedures of documents check, security check. There your hand baggage can be checked.

AIR CARRIER
Sale of the tickets is being provided in a co-operation with Denmark air company „FlexFlight“, name in the ticket can be shortened by code W2.
Flights are carried out by the company „GetJet Airlines“, „Avion Express“ or „SmartLynx Airlines“. The exact air carrier operating the flight is indicated in your booking confirmation.
Information indicated in this document is just basic and it is necessary before the flight to get familiar with the General conditions of carriage of passengers and baggage of a certain air carrier which can be found:

Non of these companies is in the list of airlines banned in the EU.

RIGHT TO REFUSE CARRIAGE
Air carrier can refuse to carry you or your baggage in cases stated in these carriage rules, General conditions of carriage of passengers and baggage of a air carrier and when happened or it is believed that it will happen one or more of these events:
1. Such action is necessary in order to comply with the requirements of applicable law;
2. The carriage of you and your baggage may endanger or effect the safety, health or comfort of other passengers or crew or endanger our and our passengers’ property;
3. Your mental, emotional, or physical condition, including your alcohol or drugs, may endanger or effect the flight safety, aviation safety, yourself, passengers, crew, our and our passengers’ property or result in discomfort or prevent the crew from performing their duties;
4. You have committed misconduct on a previous flight and/or you have been arranged for violation of aviation safety and we believe that such conduct may repeat;
5. You have refused to submit to a security check or refused your belongings to be checked, or you avoid such checks;
6. You carry prohibited items;
7. You have not paid applicable fare, taxes, fees or charges related with the tickets;
8. You have threatened, abused or insulted another passenger, ground operation agent or a member of the crew or opposed the actions of ground operation agents or crew members;
9. You have failed to follow legitimate requirements related, for instance, with safety and security, ground handling agents and members of the crew;
10. During check-in, boarding and/or the flight you have endangered other passengers, ground operation agents and members of the crew ;
11. You do not appear to have and/or fail to surrender upon request your valid personal documents visa, you may seek to enter a country through which you may be in transit or for which you do not have valid travel documents, destroy your travel documents during flight or refuse to surrender your travel documents to the flight crew when so requested, or if we have reasonable grounds to believe that you will not be permitted to enter the country of your destination or any other country through which you may be in transit;
12. You cannot prove that you are the person named in the ticket or on the list of passengers;
13. You present a ticket that has been issued unlawfully or you present a ticket that has been reported as being lost or stolen or you present a ticket that is counterfeited or damaged and it is not possible to identify the required data or you present a ticket that has not been issued or replaced by us or our authorised representatives.

SCHEDULES
Flight times indicated in the schedules can change till your actual flight day. Air carrier does not guarantuee it and they are not obligation to you by us and air carrier.

TRAVELLING WITH CHILDREN
Infant under 2 years old without a seat gets 100% discount from fare. However, fuel charge and any airport taxes apply. When buying roundtrip ticket, please make sure that infant will be less than 2 years age also on date of return flight. Otherwise, please, buy separate tickets for departure and return flights. Infant must be accompanied by adult and adult must be at least 16 years of age to be able to accompany an infant. One adult can accompany only one infant. If you book an infant ticket he/she will not have his/her own seat on board. However, if you need a separate seat for your baby, please book the applicable child's fare.
Please note that we accept no more than 3 infants on a flight.

No discount for accompanied child 2-11 (including) years applies. Children age 12 until 15 (including) may travel alone if having passport, birth certificate and notarized credentials. Children under 12 years must be accompanied by an adult age 16 and over, and without an accompanying adult will not be permitted to board the aircraft.
Unaccompanied minor service is not available.

PREGNANT PASSENGERS
According to a valid airline companies General conditions of carriage of passengers and baggage in order to avoid the risk it is necessary to have medical sertificate during the flight proving that the health of pregnant passenger is suitable for the flight and in which it will be stated all possible risks and the term of pregnancy.  When pregnancy is more than 28 weeks, it is obligatory to have such sertificate. Medical sertificate has to be issued not less than 7 days before the flight.
Before buying the ticket pregnant woman must inform about her pregnancy us and get our confirmation.
You need to have medical sertificate for the registration of the flight and during all flight.
Pregnant passengers are not accepted for transportation in 32 and further weeks of pregnancy. Air carrier can refuse to carry pregnant woman if there are complications untill 32 weeks of pregnancy, and a woman who gave birth less than 7 days till the flight.
In some cases, pilots, assessing the status of women before the flight and the operational context (e.g., adverse weather conditions, difficult flight, etc…) may decide to refuse to carry pregnant passengers. Such measures shall be taken in case of suspicion that a flight can have a negative impact on their health. Company Novaturas and air carrier assumes no responsibility for the fact that a pregnant woman does not have a medical sertificate indicating the duration of pregnancy, potential risks and confirming the feasibility to fly and the crew decisions.

DISABLED PASSENGERS
To make travelling for passengers with reduced mobility as convenient as possible and to give the help in accordance with EC regulation 1107/2006 we need information regarding your need for assistance at the latest 48 hours before departure.
It is recommended that you notify of any disabilities when booking your ticket.
Services we provide:   
Only wheelchair service available in our flights. Stretcher service (transportation of the lying passenger) or special medical assistance [MEDA] service is not provided.
• WCHR – wheelchair for the ramp - the passenger is able to move up and down stairs and to his seat on board but requires a wheelchair to move across the ramp.
• WCHS – wheelchair for stairs – the passenger is not able to move up and down stairs but is able to reach his seat on board.
• WCHC – combined wheelchair – the passenger is immobile. He requires a wheelchair to/from the aircraft and must be carried to the cabin seat.
• WCHP – passenger-owned wheelchair – the passenger travels with own wheelchair. This includes manually-driven or battery-driven wheelchairs and crutches.   
It is allowed only dry battery-driven wheelchair on board. A wheelchair equipped with wet battery cannot be accepted for carriage.
Passengers not able to care for themselves during flight, passengers with motorical problems or passengers in severe mental state may be accepted for carriage only when escorted by an adult healthy passenger. All wheelchair passengers to be admitted must be able to sit in the normal passenger seat with the back in an upright position.
Regular rules for checked and hand baggage apply.   
WCHP is transported in the baggage compartment as checked baggage in addition to normal free baggage allowance. Passenger-owned wheelchair with dry battery can be accepted as checked baggage provided that:   
• The battery is disconnected;
• The terminals are insulated;
• The battery is securely attached to the wheelchair.   
WCHP is delivered on the conveyor belt in the arrival hall. Until that moment station wheelchair is used. The agent helps to collect the checked baggage and to reach the meeting hall. 
Passengers with medical problems may disembark first, last or together with the other passengers depending on the required type of service.

BAGGAGE RULES

General information

Baggage allowance for each passenger (except Infants):
Hand luggage - 1 piece with maximum weight 5kg;
Checked baggage - 1 piece with maximum weight 13 or 15 or 20kg depending on specific flight and destination.
(Exact checked baggage allowance is shown in "included luggage" window of  selected specific flight and on the Ticket).
Baggage allowance for Infants (children under 2 years) without confirmed seat:
for flights from/ to Vilnius: 1 piece of checked baggage up to 10kg and 1 foldable pushchair is allowed;
for flights from/ to  Riga:   no baggage allowance, only 1 foldable pushchair is allowed;
for flights from/ to Tallinn: no baggage allowance, only 1 foldable pushchair is allowed.

Excess baggage fees
If your checked-in baggage allowance exceeds pieces and weight, both fees will apply simultaneously.
Please consider that every single baggage should not exceed the limit of 32kg. Baggage weighing more than 32 kg may only be accepted with the prior consent of the carrier.
Please note that baggage allowance for several passengers does not sum up.
Remember to attach a name and address tag to your bags. Protect yourself from the possibility of burglary while away from home by using baggage tags that conceal your address. We recommend that you place a piece of paper with your name and address inside each item of baggage in case baggage tags fall off the conveyor belt between check-in and loading.

Hand luggage
1 piece of hand luggage is allowed. Each piece of hand luggage may not be larger than 55x45x25 cm (including baggage handle and wheels) and may not weight more than 5 kg.
Pieces of luggage exceeding these limits have to be checked in. As the stowage space in the cabin is limited we will transport them in the cargo hold. This is in the interests of your own and other passengers' safety and comfort.

Liquids in hand baggage:
• Allowed to take small quantities of liquids.
• In individual containers with a maximum capacity of 100 milliliters.
• The containers must be packed in one transparent re-sealable plastic bag of not more than 1 litter capacity per passenger.

Liquids include: 
• Water and other drinks, soups, syrups.
• Creams, lotions and oils.
• Perfumes.
• Sprays.
• Gels, including hair and shower gels.
• Contents of pressurized containers, including shaving foam, other foams and deodorants.
• Pastes, including toothpaste.
• Liquid-solid mixtures.
• Mascara.
• Any other item of similar consistency.

DANGEROUS GOODS
Dangerous goods are items that may endanger the safety of an aircraft or person on board the aircraft.
Items prohibited on board of the aircraft
Due to the security reasons it is PROHIBITED to carry (in an unchecked baggage in aircraft cabin, and in checked baggage) these items:
•explosives (for example: ammunition, fireworks or signal rockets);
•Flammable liquids or solid materials (for example: gas for lighters, matches, paints, diluents, burners, solid fuel, other quickly flammable items, flammable materials by itself; materials which reacting with water spread flammable gas, etc.);
•Flammable, inflammable and poisonous compressed gas (for example: tear-gas, gas illuminators, gas of butane, propane, camping, oxygen cylinders);
•documents‘ files and folders with installed security systems;
•oxidizing materials (for example: whitening materials, peroxide);
•poisonous and infective materials (for example: arsenic, cyanide, some insecticides);
•radioactive materials;
•corrosive materials (that means  acid, lixivium, baterries with liquid electrolyte, quicksilver);
•other items like magnetic, poisonous, qualmish or irritative materials;
•items the carriage of which is prohibited by laws, regulations by Government or others, laws which has been released by countries or states from which, to which or above which is desired to carry items;
•items which due to their size and (or) weight can not be loaded into an aircraft;
•items which spread spicy smell;
•food products which are between the baggage, due to which other baggage can be damaged;
•In the content of examples and sets can be prohibited items so it is necessary to have information about the content of these examples/sets in order to make sure that examples/sets can be carried as a baggage. 

Items which are PROHIBITED to carry in hand luggage:
•Weapons and copies of it (for example: fowling guns; air pistols; fowling weapons; rifles; catapults; harpoons and gigs; humanic means for animals‘ distruction; fire extinguishers; signal pistols; starting pistols; exact copies or imitations of firearms; all types of toy guns; component parts of firearms (except telescopic devices for monitoring and optical sights); small caliber guns; tasers; elektroshock devices which are used for the contact animals‘ propulsion; electroshock devices; lighters which by their form remind firearms; hide and masked firearms);
•sharp weapons and sharp edge items which are capable to injur - daggers, knives and other dangerous or which have dangerous look items (for example: axes; arrows and darts; crampons; ice axes; ice skates; knives with fixed or disposable blade- blades of any length; knives including ritual knives which blades‘ are longer than 6 cm and which are made of metal or other material, but strong enough to consider it as a potential weapon; meat choppers; open razors; swords; scalpels; scissors which blades are longer than 6 cm; ski sticks; swords and sword sticks; missile stars; tradesman‘s tools which can be used as sharp weapons for example drills, knives to cut boxes, pocket knives, all types of saws, screwdrivers, crowbars, hammers, pliers, wrenches).
•Blunt items which can injur (for example: baseball bats;  maces; cudgels; softball sticks; cricket sticks; golf sticks; ice-hockey sticks; lacrosse sticks; billiards or snooker sticks; martial arts kits). 

Restrictions for carrying lithium batteries in hand luggage
Reserve lithium batteries, for example, laptops‘, DVD players‘ batteries and lithium AA size batteries can be carried only in the hand luggage.
It is fobidden to use devices which have antennas, use a lot of power or laser devices.

SPORT EQUIPMENTS 

Bicycle
Bicycles are not included in the checked baggage allowance on scheduled flights; therefore, a fee is (40 EUR). You need to notify us of any such special equipment at least 72 hours before the flight.
A bicycle must be packed for transport so that the handlebars are turned parallel to the wheel, the pedals are removed and the air pressure in the tires is reduced to a minimum.
All sharp points on the bicycle must be covered with thick plastic or cardboard.
Tandem bicycles and tricycles will be charged double fee.

Diving equipment
The set of diving equipment consists of: empty air tank, regulator of the tank, belt for the fastening the air tank, pressure gauge, diving mask, one knife, one lifejacket.
Air tanks must be emptied prior to transportation.
Diving equipment without air tanks is carried free of charge, if it is part of the permitted baggage allowance. If the total weight allowance is exceeded, the excess-fee for regular baggage is charged.
Diving equipment is considered special baggage if air tanks are included. The fee is (40 EUR).

Golf equipment
In addition to the clubs and the golf bag, one pair of golf shoes is allowed in a set of golf equipment. Golf equipment is not included in the checked baggage allowances. The fee is (40 EUR).

Skiing equipment
1 person can hold 1 unit of ski equipment up to 8kg. Ski equipment transportation fee 40eur.

Windsurfers, surfboards, kite boards
Windsurfers, surfboards are not included in the checked baggage allowance on scheduled flights. The fee is (50 EUR).
   
Sporting equipment we do not carry:
• Firearms and ammunition for shooting and hunting
• Kayaks, canoes and oars;
• Hand gliders;
• Pole vaults;
• Javelins.

Pets in cabin
Air carrier can let to carry pets (cats and dogs) if they are carried in special containers and have a valid health, vaccination sertificates, permits to import and other documents which are required by the entry of transit country. In the case of small cats and dogs, you have the option of allowing them to travel with you in the cabin under the seat in front of you. Pets can be carried only if it is received a written air carrier‘s permission in advance.
Your pet will have to fit into a kennel no larger than 48 x 32 x 29 cm (length x width x height) and the combined weight of the kennel and your pet cannot exceed 8 kg. The fee is (45EUR) per pet. 
Passengers who have vision/hearing  disabilities and travelling together with guide dog, the tax is not applicable. 
Air carrier is not responsible if the pet gets ill or dies during the flight.

Note: For flights to / from Vilnius: directions to/ from Dubai, Tenerife, Fuerteventura, Madeira, extra service "pet in cabin" is not provided.

AIR CARRIER‘S LIABILITY
Air carrier’s liability is set in the Convention regarding the Unification of Certain Rules Relating to International Carriage by Air signed at Warsaw on 12 October 1929, 1955 The Hague Protocol to Amend the Convention for the Unification of Certain Rules Relating to International Carriage by Air signed at Warsaw on 12 October 1929, The Convention for the Unification of Certain Rules for International Carriage by Air signed at Montreal on 28 May 1999 provisions, restricting the Carrier's liability and the Regulation (EC) No 889/2002 of the European Parliament and of the Council of 13 May 2002 amending Council Regulation (EC) No 2027/97 on air carrier liability in the event of accidents.

Baggage
Air carrier‘s liability for damage made to checked baggage shall be limited to amount stated in a legal acts and international conventions.
If the weight of the baggage is not specified in the baggage check, it shall be considered that the weight of a single piece of the unchecked baggage does not exceed  baggage weight limitations per certain class.
If the value of your checked baggage is greater than air carrier‘s maximum liability, we recommend you to cover your baggage by insurance prior to the travel.
Air company is not liable for any damage caused by your baggage, including injury of a passenger by the property contained in your baggage. You will be responsible for any damage caused by your baggage to other persons or property, including air carrier‘s property.
Air company shall assume no liability for any damage to items that are prohibited to be carried in checked baggage including fragile or damageable items, improperly packed items, previously damaged or overloaded baggage, minor damages, such as cuts, scratches, bends or stains arising in usual wear, or valuable items, such as money, keys, prescription medicines, medical documents, spectacles/sunglasses, photo cameras, video cameras and other valuable electronic or technical appliances and their accessories, computers, personal electronic devices, telephones, mobile telephones, jewellery, precious metals, precious and semiprecious stones, music instruments, negotiable instruments, securities or other valuables, works of art and paintings, business documents, passports and other identity documents or specimens.
Air carrier is not liable for any minor or superficial damage to the baggage as a result of normal wear and tear in the course of the travel.

CLAIMS
If a person holding a baggage check-in receipt at the collection of checked baggage does not make any complaints, it shall serve as a sufficient evidence that the baggage was delivered in good condition, unless otherwise is proven by you.
If you wish to file a claim or an action regarding damage to checked baggage, you must notify us as soon as you discover the damage and, no later than within seven (7) days of receipt of the baggage. If you wish to file a claim or an action regarding a delay to the delivery of checked baggage, you must notify us within twenty-one (21) days of the date the baggage is delivered to you. All such notifications must be made in writing.
Any claim filed to air carrier will be examined following the procedure established by its‘ internal regulations, in accordance with the binding requirements of applicable legal acts.
A claim for damage compensation must have the following attachments:
a)      an airline ticket;
b)      a relevant baggage check;
c)      documents confirming the costs related to baggage repair or a confirmation that the baggage cannot be repaired;
d)      documents confirming the value of baggage and/or baggage items;
e)      documents confirming direct damage in the event of delayed flight.


OTHER CONDITIONS
Carriage of you and your baggage shall be subject also to other regulations related with safety, punctuality and passengers‘ comfort. Regulations regarding carriage of independently travelling children, disabled passengers, pregnant women and ill passengers, restrictions on use of electronic appliances and items, carriage of dangerous items, restrictions on consumption of alcoholic drinks and coming on board, procedures of compensation for refusal to carry and other compensations shall also apply.
